We’re Baseball Fans

Today, Susan and I drove out to the ballpark and purchased a set of mini season tickets for the Spokane Indians Baseball team. We bought a package with 11 games for us to attend. Our seats are in the last row of the upper tier of seats right behind Home Plate. The total for the two seats was $186.00.

I wanted to get a bigger package of 22 games and get the lower box seats. That would have been about 250 bucks. Susan thought that was too many games. I relented and agreed to the 11 game package but I’ll be paying attention as the season goes on to see if I want more games next year.

They have made some major improvements to the stadium, the most prominent of which was a GIANT video screen in left field.

Our first game is April 18th.

I am writing this post from the Tasting Room at VduV winery. It’s a little boutique winery owned by my longtime friend, Johnny Morrow.

I’m holding down the fort here over the weekend because John, and his partner, Kirk are out of town. So far, I have had nobody come in except Mark. He stayed for bit and we drank a glass of wine.

I’m working again tomorrow from 1:00 to 5:00. It will probably be another day of me sitting here playing with this iPad.

The NCAA basketball tournament continues this weekend. The Sweet 16 are playing now and the Elite 8 play on Saturday and Sunday.

It’s not as much fun to watch now that Gonzaga has been eliminated. But we have our brackets with a chance to win well over $37.00. Neither Susan or I are doing amazingly well on our picks.

After I’m finished here, we’re going to the Hub to watch Iowa State (a number 3 seed) go up against Tennessee. We’ll also get to see the Mariner’s play their second game of the season.

Spring is definitely here.
