It is the start of the Labor Day weekend and I have a project.
10:23AM: I need to slide this outlet to the left so it doesn’t interfere with the book shelves I plan to attach to the end of this cabinet. So, my plan is to locate the stud in the wall, disconnect this outlet, drill a hole through the stud, add a new box and attach new wires to the new outlet.
The trick is to cut the new hole with minimal damage to the wall. Let’s see how I do!
12:15PM: I have cut my new hole and gone out and purchased a new box to fill the hole.I have fed the wire through to the new hole and the box is in place, as is the outlet.
12:51PM: There we are. Another project successfully completed.
I’ve already tested it. It works!
