I need easy access to this information so I have created a page to get to it quickly.
We have a two step formula to matching the stain for all the trim in the house.
We are using Minwax products. First we apply a coat of English Chestnut #233. Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes and then wipe off the excess.
After at least two hours but more like 12, we apply a coat of Dark Walnut #2716 and let it sit for 10 minutes before removing the excess.
We have had to play around with this and it is not an exact formula. Fortunately, it is dark enough that it is hard to see screw ups or variations.
