Consternation in the Congregation

Today is a follow up to last Tuesday's post where I spoke about our church and the big vote by the membership to rent our building to another church.

We had the vote yesterday and it was decided to allow the other church to rent our building. The vote was 24 for, 22 against and 1 abstention. What the hell is up with THAT. You can't feel passionate enough about this to make a decision?! Jeez!

The most amazing thing to me about this vote was that we have 47 members. That's a thriving church!

So now we move forward with a rental agreement. The 22 against are going to be all over that.
