Tonight I intend to do a little work out in the Carriage House and make some SynthaLogsTM for the fireplace. I brought home a bunch of Cardboard cores from work and I have lots of newspapers saved up.
I've been thinking that one possible way to augment the log would be to soak the paper in lighter fluid or some such flammable chemical. I got some kindling for Christmas that lights at the touch of a match. It's clearly been soaked in something because the kindling is kind of sticky.
Soaking newspaper would probably be costly and I'm not sure the flammable qualities wouldn't eventually evaporate away.
More stuff to think about. Plus, the posting stretch continues.
