A Week of Thankfulocity

What a pleasure to walk down the stairs this morning and see a little clearing of hardwood floor. We are both mightily delighted at the prospect of how this floor is going to look. In the spirit of the coming holiday, we are thankful that it will be a realitively easy and inexpensive portion of the remodel. You can tell we are hopelessly involved with our home when this is the kind of thing that excites us.

It was 20 degrees when I left the house this morning. There is no snow yet but winter is just around the corner. I think they are predicting a skiff of snow for Thanksgiving evening.

With all my complaining about my back the other day, you would think I would be feeling stiff and sore today. We did lots of prying and lifting in awkward positions. And yet, no problems with the ol backeroo. There's another thing to be thankful for.
